Core Completes Port of Operations Work for the Boa Sub C

On Friday, Core Industries will assemble and load 327 buoyancy modules to barge to be shipped to Technip. The cargo was moved from shore at Theodore Industrial Port by crane, and placed on barge to be secured for travel. Core Industries received the first of three shipments of coils for PSL on Monday. In all, 260 coils were loaded onto barge. The total weight of the cargo was 7,355.31 net tons.

Over the past three weeks, the staff at Core Industries has been working hard to dismantle a shiploader previously located at the Alabama State Port Authority. The demolition project included removal, and transportation by barge to our facility. The project was completed both successfully and on time with the help of our talented crew.

In a project spanning over three days, Core Industries successfully unloaded from barge, 324 pieces of FBE riser and flowline pipe and 317 pieces of GSPU flowline pipe. The pipe was unloaded and placed onto trucks to be delivered to Technip’s Mobile facility for Shell Oil Company.

Core Industries successfully completed the offload and storage of 83 prime hot rolled steel coils by barge from ThyssenKrupp. Steel Canada LTD has been working with our facility to put the coils into storage. Eventually, all 83 coils will be containerized and shipped out by ship or truck at a later date.

In a contract consisting of 7 barges total for Shell Offshore Inc., Core Industries has successfully unloaded 450 pieces of single joint GSPU coated API pipe.
During the two day project, the cargo was taken off the barge, and loaded to truck to be sent to Technip’s Mobile facility.

Over 6,000 metric tons of Coal was successfully offloaded from ship by Core Industries and taken to short term storage, yesterday. The project for Dow Corning is being stored in our onsite storage facility to be shipped out by truck at a later date.
